  • Nam Shan Estate, Reggie Miller (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
A model public housing estate providing super quality of life and transport convenience. Quiet neighbourhood with lush surroundings. Spacious public areas between buildings which are at most 11-storey high. Unlike the modern public housing estates where buildings are skyscraping and packed miserably, Nam Shan Estate allows its people to enjoy a much wider view of the sky, cultivating in its people, especially those who love to pamper themselves in the night breeze under the star-lit sky after a rewarding hour of shooting the netted basketball hoop, a magnanimity that can hardly been seen in the tenants of other housing areas. The love of Nam Shan Estate by its people with passing years only grows.

  • Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel, blacknapkins wrote 17 years ago:
Good hotel. Very good pool and sauna. The rooms are quite large for a Hong Kong hotel. If you can afford it upgrade to the Harbour Club for which you get a bigger room on the 20th floor and access to the roof-top harbour club lounge with stunning 270 degree views of the harbour, Hong Kong Island and most of Kowloon.
  • Metropark Hotel Causeway Bay, blacknapkins wrote 17 years ago:
The hotel calls itself the Metropark Causeway Bay but is actually in Tin Hau a good 15 or 20 minutes walk to Causeway Bay and Times Square. Good mid-price hotel. The rooms are small but not overly so for a Hong Kong hotel. A bit out of the way. You have to cross the busy road to get to Tin Hau MTR. Perhaps a bit overpriced for what you get.
